Great Inventory Management Tool for Good Honest
Josh Perriam started Good Honest Warehousing with his brother-in-law five years ago after he saw a gap in the market for a local 3pl operator. From its home in Christchurch, the company provides outsourced logistics services to its customers. This includes the integration of transport, warehousing, pick-pack, dispatch and inventory management.
As the company grew, so did the need to replace its complex, inefficient and cumbersome inventory management system. With customers locally and internationally, the company required a system that allowed its clients to check the status of their stock remotely. Using a unique username and password, each customer can run their own reports to monitor stock in real-time. “It has made the process much more transparent for our customers, and saved us a lot of emails and phone calls back and forth,” Josh says.
Josh says Global Office’s system has made Good Honest Warehousing much more competitive within the 3pl market. The software is simple to use and easy to learn, meaning staff spend more time on the warehouse floor and less time in front of a screen. “And because every single item goes ‘live’ in the system almost immediately, our customers have complete confidence in the service they are getting,” Josh says.
